Two of College Sport USA's top performing soccer players came head to head on Saturday 16th October as Sam Nicols King College Tornados (TN) met Gregg Munn's high flying Mars Hill College Lions (NC) on non conference business.
The match finished 1-0 in favour of Mars Hill College with the decisive goal coming courtesy of Isaiah Schafer.
It was a typically tight match which was played at a furious pace with plenty of goalmouth action.
King college actually out shot Mars Hill but could not find their way past a Lions defence which has been very mean of late when it comes to conceding goals.
Both Sam and Gregg went head to head in the centre of the field and added some true British battling qualities mixed in with no end of skill and determination to bring home the victory for their respective teams.
College Sport USA of course sat very firmly on the fence during this match however we were as always immensely proud to see two of our 2010 starlets go head to head on US soil.
