As part of our ongoing educational supplements on the life of our student athletes in the United States, we are delighted to have input from Gregg Munn who joined NCAA Mars Hill University in North Carolina in August. Gregg will be regularly updating everyone on his progress exclusively here at College Sport USA.
Gregg Munn Diary:
Sorry it has been a couple of weeks to give you this update. Its just that we have had a busy and really important couple of weeks and as well as schoolwork which has been keeping me busy.
Dave, Things are going really really well for me the and you've probably seen how well we have been doing this year so far. At the moment we are unbeaten in 8 games winning 7 of them and drawing the other which in all fairness we should have won but we just didn't play well on the day. Last week we were ranked 25th in the country and now this week we were ranked 19th so things are great and we can't complain, we just have to keep it going. Don't get me wrong it hasn't been a breeze. All the games are tough no matter who you come up against whether in the season or the conference, they all count.
I've been playing Centre Mid in all the games and I actually think I've totaled up the most game minutes which is not bad for a freshman. I came over here to play and be a key part of the team and I think I'm doing that.
Some of our results have been great, we beat wingate in overtime at their field so that was great along with beating limestone and teams like that which I was especially happy about haha.
Been trying to keep up to date with how things are going back home, the Stirling Albion lads are doing great Dave. Keep it up and i'll be back to see you all at Christmas and to have a catch up.
The weather is slowly starting to change here so I have no complaints I am loving it, just like back home soon when the snow comes.
Catch up with you soon Big Man, Take it easy, Munney.
