Gregg Munn and Calvin Bond make winning starts in their leagues

September 3rd 2010 -

Both Gregg Munn(Mars Hill University & Calvin Bond (Limestone College) made winning starts to their competitive careers this week.

Gregg made the starting line-up as Mars Hill got their season underway with a convincing 5-0 win against St. Andrews University. Gregg slotted into a central role in the midfield and certainly put his mark on the game by setting up one of the Lions goals. Perhaps his Scottish terrier like approach to the game fell foul of the referee as he picked up a caution in the 53rd minute of the match. Greggs passion for the game and winning mentality will be a real feature of his game this season and this will surely drive on his team mates.

College Sport USA's other Scottish recruit, Calvin Bond also enjoyed a very successful competitive debut as his highly ranked Limestone College team cruised to a fine 6-1 win over USC Aitken. Calvin never looked out of place at left back and performed extremely well by getting up and down the left side all match. Calvin's impressive 90 minutes was capped by a terrific pass which set-up the 5th goal of the game.

interestingly, both Gregg & Calvin will come head to head on Wednesday 22nd September as Limestone College visit Mars Hill in competitive league duties.

Both players will be desperate to put one over on each other having been team mates for several years at Stirling Albion FC.
