College Sport USA's Michael Doran has firmly established himself as the No.1 pick between the posts for the New York Institute of Technology Bears, after some fine performances this season.
The team unfortunately have not hit the heights they may have expected to so far this season and have been on the end of some narrow defeats against some tough competition.
On Tuesday 21st the team suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat to Bentley University however Michael wasa standout performer, making 6 vital saves in addition to a penalty save late in the game.

OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. (Sept. 21, 2010) - NYIT men's soccer face its second straight loss and fourth of the season Tuesday afternoon against Bentley University. The Bears fell 2-1 in overtime to the Falcons. The match was highly contested with a total of 27 fouls, three yellow cards and one red card issued.
Scoring the lone goal for the Bears was Robeson Hilton in the 50th minute. He scored early in the second half off a quick pass from Maciek Serafin. Hilton's goal was his first of the season and gave NYIT a 1-0 lead. The Bears held that lead until the 88th minute when Brennan DaCosta knotted score on a penalty kick. Although they tried, neither team could gain the advantage by the end of regulation and the match was sent into overtime.
With a little more than a minute left in the first overtime, Riley Rodgers gave Bentley the 2-1 win with a point-blank shot from about 20-yards out.
Goalkeeper Michael Doran made six saves including a penalty kick attempt.
The Bears return to action in a East Coast Conference soccer doubleheader against C.W. Post on Saturday, Sept. 25. The men play at Noon with the women following at 2:30 p.m. at President's Stadium.
