Calvin Bond's Limestone College edge Tusculum Men's Soccer, 2-1

College Sport USA's Calvin Bond helped his Limestone College Saints to a narrow victory over the formidable Tusculum University Pioneers during the week.

Having established himself as a mainstay of the team, Calvin will be hoping that his early season form will continue as he prepares to face his good friend and fellow College Sport USA recruit, Gregg Munn up in Ashville this coming Wednesday.

GAFFNEY, S.C. --- Keegan Ziada recorded a pair of goals, including the match-winner in the 79th minute to lead the Limestone College men’s soccer team to a 2-1 win over visiting Tusculum College Wednesday afternoon at Saints Field.

Tusculum (0-2-2) jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 27th minute when Andres Jarquin notched his third goal of the year when he drove home a free kick from just outside the box.

The score would remain that way until the 59:58 mark when Ziada gathered in a loose ball following a rebound to level the match at 1-1.

Ziada would put the Saints (3-2) on top with his fifth scoring tally of the young season as he scored on a one-on-one with Tusculum keeper Andy Goellner.

The Saints out-shot the Pioneers by a 25-16 margin in match, including 13-4 in the first half as Goellner tallied eight saves on the day for Tusculum. LC keeper H.B. Lockwood picked up the win in going the distance allowing a goal and recording eight saves.
